February is National Career and Technical Education Month (CTE) and FBLA takes part in this through a National event called FBLA-PBL Week. FBLA-PBL Week is the second week in February and is designed as a time for chapters and members to celebrate FBLA, publicize their activities, and boost their membership. Many chapters across the state and nation take part in this event each year, and it’s a great chapter activity and fun way to inform the public and your peers about FBLA. Here is how your chapter and you can celebrate FBLA-PBL Week!
Get Your School, City, or State Involved
The link below features a sample proclamation you can find on the National website declaring FBLA-PBL week an official event in your school, city, or state. This proclamation can be adapted, and it is designed to be a way to gather support from your school or local government for FBLA and FBLA-PBL Week.

Sunday: Share Your FBLA-PBL Story Day
Share your FBLA-PBL story on social media. Tell why you joined, your favorite FBLA-PBL memory, or what FBLA-PBL has done for you. Tag your story on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with #FBLAPBLWeek.
Monday: National Presidents’ Forum
All three division national presidents (FBLA, PBL, and Professional Division) will host a live Internet broadcast to kick off FBLA-PBL Week.
Tuesday: Each One Reach One Day
This day is designed for you to talk to your peers and community members about your FBLA-PBL experiences. And, of course, ask them to join!
Wednesday: Professional Attire Day/Adviser Appreciation Day
Dress for success and share your appreciation for those that teach, lead, and mentor your chapter. Wear professional attire that meets the FBLA dress code. This is a very popular chapter event!
Thursday: Career Awareness Day
Get involved with Professional Division members in your area and connect with community leaders.
Friday: FBLA-PBL Spirit Day
Show your FBLA-PBL pride by posting a group photo to the FBLA-PBL Facebook page and using the hashtag #FBLAPBLWeek on Twitter and Instagram.
Saturday: Community Service Day
Choose a community service project to support, such as YouthCare, this year’s state community service project, that focuses on reaching and rehabilitating homeless teens in Washington State. Other suggested activities include working with the March of Dimes, volunteering at a homeless shelter, or conducting a blood drive.
Whether you participate in one or all of the FBLA-PBL Week events, use this as a great opportunity to share about FBLA with those you know and show your FBLA pride.
Enjoy FBLA-PBL Week!
