Congratulations to Hazen FBLA for being WA FBLA’s November Chapter of the Month!
Hazen FBLA strives to provide their members with opportunities to grow as leaders within their home, school, and community. As of 2019, Hazen FBLA has completed Super Sweeps and is currently working on Non-Stop November. Last year, they were the largest local chapter in Washington state with over 120 members, completing all three Chapter Challenges. Hazen FBLA is in the process of developing an Extension Chapter Program that allows students from neighboring schools who are interested in FBLA to get involved; bringing more opportunities and resources to students around them.
Furthermore, Hazen FBLA has founded JAM (Joint Activities Meeting), a monthly get-together between nearby local chapters where students can meet other students who have similar interests. They’ve opened this event to everyone in hopes of recruiting more students. In their November JAM with Lindbergh High School, four state officers along with a speaker from Men’s Wearhouse, attended.
They work to enable their members to venture further in their occupational goals, academic goals, and accomplishments and have supported eight state officers in the last seven consecutive years. Multiple students have also achieved the business level in the BAAs and been named Member of the Month in the past.
Way to go, Hazen! Thank you for your commitment to FBLA.
