Congratulations to Maddy Wagner! She is a junior at Odessa High School and has been a member of FBLA for three years. She is well versed in everything FBLA. Maddy has gone above and beyond her responsibilities to ensure her chapter is prepared for every conference.
Maddy registers her chapter for every conference and registers all members on the national site. As her chapter prepared for state, she expertly registered all 37 members for their multiple events. In the days leading up to the SBLC registration deadline, Maddy assisted nearly every team working on reports or the digital video. She proofread, helped with editing techniques, and assisted with report formatting. She has become the Microsoft Publisher expert for their group. Maddy was at the school over a span of two weeks for late-night work sessions not only to work on her team’s Community Service Project (CSP), but also to help others.
Maddy is also secretary of the Odessa FBLA chapter. Beyond what Maddy has done for her chapter, Maddy is a very dedicated FBLA member. She has placed first at state and competed at nationals both her freshman and sophomore years.
She is currently chairman of her chapter’s CSP project for this year, which has raised over $30,000 to help update the Odessa Senior Center. She is a great public speaker, very organized, and she can be counted on to get the job done right every time. Maddy has presented at Lead2Feed sessions at regionals, state, and nationals. Maddy and two other members hosted a session on “making your chapter better” at the 2018 Northeast Region Fall conference; where over 100 students attended. Maddy has participated in Odessa’s Lead2Feed Challenge project all three years of high school, and she was instrumental in helping them win the challenge again this year.
Maddy’s accomplishment and drive truly set her apart as an outstanding member in Washington FBLA!
