Heritage High School - April Chapter of the Month

Heritage High School - April Chapter of the Month

Congratulations to Heritage High School for being Washington FBLA’s April Chapter of the Month! To start things off, all 18 members of the FBLA Chapter at Heritage High School placed in the Top 6 at their Southwest Region Winter Leadership Conference.

Heritage FBLA also impacts their community positively. Heritage has a school-wide education project called Financial Reality Fair, which helps educate their senior class of 400 students on financial literacy. This year marks the third time their chapter has hosted this event. They worked with iQ Credit Union to create lesson plans and materials. These materials are also used in all high schools in Clark County.

Heritage FBLA also works to better their community by collecting litter in popular hiking trails near their school, assisting Clark County by cleaning Public Utilities vehicles, offering an alternative Halloween night to younger students, and collecting and donating gently used laptops for less-fortunate schools in Kenya.

Congratulations again to Heritage High School for this recognition! Go to wafbla.org to learn more about this award.
