February Chapter of the Month - Woodinville High School
Congratulations to Woodinville High School for being WA FBLA’s February Chapter of the Month!
Woodinville FBLA strives to be a chapter where members can develop themselves professionally while immersed in a fun, encouraging environment. To better equip their new and returning members on how to succeed in competitive events, they hosted an Event Showcase. During this meeting, National qualifiers and winners from previous years presented to members and gave advice on how to develop a winning project. One meeting combined fellowship and creativity, helping members bond while contributing to the success of the chapter’s main fundraiser of decorating holiday ornaments.
Woodinville FBLA exemplifies how student initiative can leave a lasting positive impact on the community. Several years ago, a dedicated FBLA officer team sought to create a fundraiser that would benefit not just Woodinville FBLA, but the local community as well. With great success, they founded the annual Holiday Tree Auction fundraiser where local businesses sponsor and decorate trees to be auctioned off at Woodinville High School’s Holiday Bazaar. This fundraiser has become a fun yet financially advantageous tradition for Woodinville FBLA’s officer team to run year after year. The partnerships Woodinville FBLA forms with local businesses are mutually beneficial. Businesses get publicity and visibility as community members bid on their tree, and their chapter raises the funds necessary to cover travel and competition expenses. Overall, the tree fundraiser gives both the community and local businesses the opportunity to stand behind their students and support their professional development.
Thank you, Woodinville High School, for your dedication to FBLA and its goals!
